Live at The Old Gaol - Live Music Performances - March 20th, 21st, 22nd 2007
Diploma of Live Production students again produced the first live event of the year, involving two stages
and Advanced Diploma of Music students performing live to a lunchtime audience from The Old Gaol Courtyard
and The Courtrhouse Theatre at The University's historic SMB Campus.

End of Year Showcase Concert - Advanced Diploma of Music student performances - November 7th - 9th 2006
2nd year students showcased their skills in some jazz and original performances produced by Live Production students
1st year music students also presented newly worked material, and a piano, guitar and percussion group performed

Live on Lydiard 10 - Ballarat Arts Foundation Show and Live Music Nights - October 25th - 27th 2006
The Arts Academy's Helen MacPherson Smith Theatre was again transformed into a recording studio for
filming of a Ballarat Arts Foundation Evening featuring young performers, as well as two other nights of
fantastic new Australian music, presented by Live Production students - Archives now online..


Open 'Week' 2006 - Public Recording and Performance Demonstrations - August 6th, 8th and 9th 2006
Our Open Week season featured performances in The Courthouse Theatre and Live DVD and multi-track audio Production Studio
set up in the Foyer for public inspection and demonstration by Live Production and Music students. Many members of the public visited
on The University's Open Day and during the week we showcased the course and facilties to local high school groups.


Project X
- Original Recording Season - August 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2006
Advanced Diploma of Music students spent over 32 hours with Live Production students over 2 weeks recording over 40 original songs
they had written and rehearsed. The material was recorded live to DVD and Digital 16track audio for post production soon. Including:

This project featured our first full scale music events for the year and featured a night of new Ballarat bands, as
well as an eclectic mix of Central Victorian acts including Earworm, Month of Sundays, Did Jamaica and Ballarat's The Brand X - Archives
