Animal Lounge 2008 - Live Music, Theatre and Comedy - September 11th, 12th,and 13th 2008
In a cabaret style setting, The Courthouse Theatre SMB again played host to 3 diverse evenings of entertainment
produced by students of The Advanced Diploma of Live Production and Diploma of Arts (Theatre Arts) Courses.
Music featured: The Thursday Night Choir, Red City Sons, Tom Milkekovic, Brand X, Emma Grant, Earl Leonard,
AppleTree Jamboree, Underminers, X's&O's, The Sweet Monas Choir, Tim Husdpith, Drew Rodger, and Immaculata

- Live DVD Music Recording Events - August 19th, 22nd and 23rd 2008
Live on Lydiard 18 featured a daytime showcase from Advanced Diploma of Music students and two night time shows.
Eva Popov and Ryda were featured on Friday and on Saturday night we were pleased to feature The 20th Anniversary Show for
The Dead Salesmen Duo, with Pat Bath and Paddy O'Driscoll, to a packed audience at Helen Macpherson Smith Theatre.

- Live DVD Music Recording Events - August 7th, 8th and 9th 2008
Another Live on Lydiard event at Helen Macpherson Smith Theatre, Lydiard St Nth, Ballarat, involving an all time record of 47 female performers.
Featured over 3 nights were: The Sweethearts (25 pc all girl Motown band) The Whiz Bang Orkestra (20pc Ballarat High ensemble),
Lady Grey, Drew Sutherland, Polly Valentine, Georgia Fields and The Freeways, Milk, and The Tequila Mockingbirds

A season of new music was featured at The Courthouse Theatree, SMB over 3 nights, filming for the bands and our youtube channel, featuring:
James Moore, Goodbye Stereo, X's&O's, Freya Hollick, Month of Sundays, Brendan Skinner and The Relevant Advice Club,

The Arts Academy's Helen Macpherson Smith Theatre will again be transformed into a live music production facility
for the first in the Live on Lydiard series for 2008. Eight fabulous new Australian artists were featured over 3 nights:
Cam Ross, Kate, McMahon, Beggardawn, Immaculata, Isabel Hertaeg, The Vagues, Tessa and The Typecast and Hip-popatamus.

Post Office Jazz
- Jazz Music Season at Camp St - April 22nd, 23rd and 24th 2008
Advanced Diploma of Live Production and Music students presented a joint production featuring Jazz standards at The Arts Academy's
Post Office Box Theatre, with 2 lunchtime shows and an evening show featuring Graduates, Music Course staff and special guest Jeremy Alsop.
