The conference focuses on recent results in nonassociative mathematics, in particular in quasigroups and loops. Contributions from related areas (nonassociative algebras, Latin squares, computational systems for nonassociative mathematics) are welcome. Based on the initial response, the conference promises to be the main event in nonassociative algebra for 2005.

June 15 for submission of abstracts.

ICGT is the international conference initiated by Claude Berge, which is organized each 4 or 5 years by the french community in Graph Theory. The last edition was held in Marseille in 2000. It covers the full range of Graph Theory including applications in other areas of Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science and Engineering.

RECENT NEWS OF CMSA MEMBERS and others

Successful ARC Network in Security
A number of CMSA members are now part of a successful ARC (Australian Research Council) Network in security called Research Network for Securing Australia. The lead person is Associate Professor Priyan Mendis, a civil engineer at University of Melbourne. The first official meeting of the new network will be in Canberra on February 24, 2005. DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS
Applications are invited for a 2 year fixed-term appointment for a research project Computing with large groups: Probability distributions and fast randomised algorithms funded by the Australian Research Council and directed by Professor Cheryl E. Praeger and Dr Alice C. Niemeyer. It concerns development, analysis and implementation of algorithms for permutation groups and matrix groups over finite fields.

The Journal is now published three times per year, in February, June and October. Volume 31 (February 2005) has just been printed, and is being distributed. Note that CMSA Members are entitled to a $10 discount per volume.
There is a search facility for past authors and for keywords in the titles of papers. Instructions to authors are also available at this web site.
The contents of all volumes, 1 to 30 (and shortly 31), are listed at the
above web page.
We also now have free public access to the full
papers in Volumes 1 to 22 inclusive. All but the last four years are
available free.
Submissions to the Australas. J. Combin. may be sent to ajc at maths.uq.edu.au. Electronic submissions are encouraged. For paper submissions, please check the web page.
